Lightbox created a Street Scene CGI that helped National House Builder David Wilson Homes to secure planning permission on the new Loughborough Road development.
Time was of the essence with this project as the visual was requested by the planners for a specific date to aid their decision making. This left us 4 days from commission to delivery to model, texture and light the 3D scene from the architects plans and elevations, and create the finished presentation image.
As with all of our CGI's accuracy was a key element of the project particularly as it was requested by the planners. We focussed on getting the materials, architectural details and layout of the site correct so that all questions were answered whilst also creating an attractive viewpoint of the development.
David Wilson Homes requested that we base our views around the 'village green' of the development. Once the 3D model was built of the house types and environment we then supplied suggested draft views. The chosen view was then taken into full production to produce the presentation CGI.
"I have absolutely no doubt that your illustration helped the planning committee to interpret the scheme properly and conclude that the design concept and detailed planning would be of a high standard, consistent with our earlier development at Anstey."
